Deep reflective meditation. The action that makes no movement for any eyes to see but takes us far enough to find choices within our own path. Contemplation holds our feelings and hopes in high regard as we navigate our souls in search of connection.
Yuroz shares his depiction of this phenomenon with his limited edition study of his piece, “Contemplation”. Very much like the stillness of thought, the sculpture holds its form while exposing waves of emotional interaction. A couple aware of the pleasure each other’s company brings, but in a defining moment of wondering what could come next.
The artist represents the reserved state of the subjects with two wine bottles. Each bringing their own to share with the other but not yet opened. The absence of glasses implies that they have not yet made the choice to move forward and take themselves even deeper into their relationship.
Heads tilted as a symbol of wonder and thought. Yuroz uses this creative choice to share with us the importance of this contemplation being one of hopeful possibilities as the two fall more in love with each other. They sit moments away from giving in to a passion immersed in love.
Never before has Yuroz released an edition in its raw and early stages; however the intention was this exactly. A still object we can touch and hold. Closing our eyes while caressing the bronze to feel the imperfections, the subtle bumps, the bold shapes as if we could feel the artist sculpting in this very moment. Our hands may feel what his hands feel.
Contemplate as you look at this moment. Ask yourself, What will you bring to the table of love and will you share it?
