“The Cello”
A tribute to a friend of the artist who always dreamed of playing the cello, even though he was discouraged by others because they considered him too short to play such a large instrument, “The Cello” depicts the musician in the prime of his mastery. His passion for the cello is so great that his stature is enlarged by it. The woman is so attracted to him that she is prepared to offer herself, the symbolic pomegranate, to share that passion.
