From March 21st-24th in New York, Stygian Publishing shared Yuroz’ artwork with art collectors from the East Coast at the annual Artexpo held on Pier 92. “It’s been five years since we were last here” states the Director of Stygian Publishing, Jennifer Edwards.
YUROZ SHARES HIS WORK WITH EAST COAST COLLECTORS
“We’ve missed our clients. After 20 years of building relationships with them, they have become more than just collectors and admirers of Yuroz’ art. We have watched their children grow up and get married, we’ve shared so many great memories together and some sad ones as well. This year it felt like a family reunion. The genuine smiles, hugs, laughter, and tears made our show extra special.”
“He was commissioned by the Vatican to create a painting of Saint Archangelo Tadini, which was blessed by His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI. Yuroz also visited Russia, where he received a commission for a major design work. Along with each project, Yuroz created a special collection of work, which our clients did not see. It was important for us to do this show and share some of the work with our East Coast collectors. All these components shaped the group of paintings that we selected for the Art Show. It turned out to be a kind of retrospective show of a body of work in the past five years. This group included his silver collection, which was inspired after viewing ancient icons in Russia; the tree collection that he designed after visiting his native Armenia; and the studies for the Vatican project created prior to the release of the final painting of the new saint.” Stygian Publishing also showed a glimpse of Yuroz’s hand-painted wall sculptures, which he began ten years ago. And one of the most exciting pieces of news was that after almost 15 years, Yuroz is getting back again to ceramics.
Please review the PDF files of the collections, and share your comments with us by phone or email. Stygian Publishing would like to thank everyone who has helped us to make this show an exciting and successful event, which in turn helps us to support the arts and the projects in which we are involved.
